The Parish Lengthsman, through the SSDC Ranger Scheme, undertakes a wide range of jobs around Huish Episcopi Parish including: mowing, weeding, litter collection, overhanging vegetation, minor repairs and general sweeping, cleaning and clearing.
Employing the SSDC Ranger Scheme allows Huish Episcopi Parish Council to prioritise areas of concern and provide an enhanced and more responsive level of service, improving the environment for the local community. The main Councils retain their existing areas of responsibility and none of these have been transferred to Parish Councils.
